By looking at their blog, you will be able to evaluate whether or not this is someone who can help you build your business. You can also perform a similar search on Youtube for video content. Watch the video content of leaders who appear repeatedly to determine if they are able to give you business building guidance. Video will also give you insight into the personality and style of a particular leader, helping you evaluate the ability for you to connect with them.
Once you have identified a few leaders that seem to be a fit for you and your business aspirations, look for them on Facebook and make a connection request. You want to evaluate the content that they provide to their connections and also how they conduct themselves in the marketplace. Simply taking these few steps will help you quickly narrow down a list of leaders you would feel comfortable learning from and working with.
After narrowing down your list of prospective leaders, take time to learn about the companies you represent. In your research, you will be examining things such as years in business, Better Business Bureau reports and public perception. Pay special attention to red flag issues such as legal actions and turnover in senior management. Also look for indications of distributor satisfaction.
